I havent looked for myself since i dont ever use plasma weapons besides the plasma caster because how good it is. And they are high-tech weapons which find numerous applications in military and industrial fields.

I personally recommend plasma caster over gauss minigun. I think Enclave Plasma gun uses normal plasma gun mods from the normal plasma gun. Here is a screenshot a Plasma Caster thats in Fallout 76.-The Plasma Caster was called the Winchester P94 Plasma Rifle in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. Fallout 4 - True Shadows vs Ultra Interior Lighting vs Enhanced Lights and FX. Unless you farm daily ops with gauss shotgun, you ends up spending your time for gathering resources to craft ammo even if you have all crafting perks(including legendary one) maxed out if you bring it on every fight you encouter. This is an advanced plasma energy weapon designed with cutting edge. Gauss minigun on the other hand, certainly powerful but it suffers from spin up and insufficient ammo usage. Attaching sniper barrel makes it reliable on VATS too, at the cost of faster fusion core's drain.
Aside from harder enemies like bears and deathclaws, its non-spin up high damage per shot sweeps trashes much quicker. Gatling Plasma is one of the Heavy Guns and Energy Weapons of Fallout 76 (FO76) Weapon Mods Expanded - WMX at Fallout. That said, plasma caster is far more practical as its ammo efficient and kills quicker than gauss minigun. and yeah the slug buster is just a 'named' anti-armor, something, something VATS plasma rifle you can pick up (or miss) during a mission if you side with the raiders. I am running bloody PA heavy build and have both bloodied/25FFR variant, and I say plasma caster is more suitable for general usage while gauss minigun has higher sustainable DPS as boss beater. yeah, i would assume its because they use rifles and heavy weapons.
